Step 1: Generate and Share Your API Key
To authorize the connection between the platforms, you will need to generate a unique API key within your Spott dashboard.
Log in to your Spott account and navigate to Settings.
Select API from the menu.
Click on API Keys.
Click Create API key and copy the newly generated key to your clipboard.
Security Notice: To keep your account data secure, never email your API key directly. Instead, go to One-Time Secret, paste your API key into the text box, and generate a secure, one-time link. Email this secure link to your OneUp implementation engineer.
Step 2: Configure the Webhook Endpoint
Once your API key is created, the final step is to configure a webhook so Spott can send real-time event updates to OneUp.
In your Spott dashboard, navigate back to Settings.
Select Webhooks from the side menu.
Click the Add Endpoint button.
A OneUp implementation engineer will send you your WEBHOOK URL, type this into the Endpoint URL box.
Ensure that the box for all events is checked.
Click Save to finalize the webhook creation.
Once you have completed both steps and shared your One-Time Secret link, let your implementation engineer know so they can test the connection and move forward with your setup.
